It has been announced that model and talent Honda Sara will be the MC for Abema's audition program "Koikami Audition" (Saturdays 9pm), which starts on February 7th, along with Sakurai Yui from the idol group "FRUITS ZIPPER" and talent Nae Nano. This will be the first time for all three to try their hand at being a show MC.
The program is an audition project that aims to discover the "next generation of star hairstylists." The judges are representative hairstylists from Japan and Korea, including popular hairstylist Takuya Takagi and Kiwoo Saem, said to be Korea's most famous hairstylist. The final audition results will be announced on stage at the fashion event "Mynavi TGC 2026 S/S," scheduled to be held on March 14th, and the winner will receive a prize of 3 million yen and the right to implement a project with the program's cast members.
Honda, who served as the program's MC for the first time during the recording that has already taken place, recalled, "I'm not usually the type to get nervous during recordings, but this time I checked the script in advance more than usual. I was very nervous."
As a memory related to her own hair, she revealed an episode from when she was in kindergarten, saying, "My older sister Marin took a pair of kitchen scissors and cut my hair right off without my permission (laughs). She even cut the back of my hair, which made my manager very flustered at the time, and I remember that very fondly. Of course, my sister had no experience cutting hair, and it ended up looking really blunt, so my manager was really worried."
Regarding the program, she commented, "We watched the video and saw so many tears, and it really touched our hearts. There were high school students my age there, so there were many parts we could relate to," and appealed, "I hope that even one person will watch this program, get a haircut, change their image, and feel encouraged."
