It has been revealed that the TX-FF104 Alyzeus, an original mobile suit (MS) that does not appear in the original manga, will appear in the second chapter of the popular Gundam anime film series "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash" (directed by Murase Shukou), titled "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Circe's Witch." It is a hastily constructed training machine built before Lane Aim's Penelope is officially deployed, and is depicted in a fierce battle with the Xi Gundam in the film.
The Alyzeus was hastily constructed as a training aircraft for high-speed flight in flight form for lane aim until the Penelope was officially deployed. Flight form is its main form. The core of the aircraft is a modified RX-94 Mass-Produced Nu Gundam. The exterior uses parts from a prototype aircraft manufactured for testing during the development of the Penelope. As a replacement for the Minovsky Flight Unit, which was incomplete at the time of the aircraft's construction, a total of 20 shelf nozzles, which utilize a plasma jet engine propulsion system from older engine technology that does not utilize I-field technology, are placed throughout the aircraft and operated in parallel, allowing for high-speed flight comparable to that of the Penelope.
A promotional video commemorating the release was also released on YouTube, featuring the hit song "Sweet Child O'Mine" by the American rock band Guns N' Roses, the ending theme for Chapter 2. The video features Hathaway, unable to let go of his feelings for Gigi and struggling with his own actions, and Gigi, who has a mysterious power that can influence the course of the battle and whose feelings for Hathaway grow stronger with each passing day. Alyzeus also makes an appearance.
It was also announced that a collection of original setting materials by character designer Pablo Uchida, "Pablo Uchida Design Works," will be distributed as a gift to second-time attendees from February 6th.
"Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway" is based on a novel published in 1989-90 by director Yoshiyuki Tomino, known as the creator of the "Gundam" series. The anime has been announced to consist of three chapters, with the first chapter, released in June 2021, being a hit, grossing approximately 2.23 billion yen at the box office. The second chapter was released on January 30th.
