The fourth episode of the drama series "Punch-Drunk Woman: XX Days Left Until Escape" (Nippon TV, Sundays at 10:30 p.m.), starring actress Shinohara Ryoko, was broadcast on February 1st, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 2.8% for households and 1.7% for individuals.
The drama is an original prison escape suspense story inspired by a true story from overseas in which a female prison guard helped a male inmate escape and escaped with him. Veteran female prison guard Kozue Fuyuki (played by Shinohara) has always lived a disciplined and honest life, but her life is turned upside down when she meets Reiji Kusaka (played by Jesse), a pretrial detainee charged with robbery and murder who is closely related to Kozue's secret.
Episode 4 was broadcast under the title "Who is the traitor? What is the trap set for the female prison guard?"
The escape plan is underway! Prison guard Kozue Fuyuki (Shinohara) teams up with Kusaka Reiji (Jesse), a suspect in her father's murder, to capture the culprit of the hostage situation, but her ID and password are stolen by a traitorous prison guard who is a spy for the cult that is plotting the escape.
Kozue is framed by the cult and is suspected of being a traitor, and Reiji, who wants to escape from prison, also tries to betray Kozue...and so the story unfolds.
