"The Great Marriage Wars of Shallow Cinderellas," an original short drama from the BUMP app starring model Yuka Ogura, has surpassed 30 million views on social media in the week since its release on January 21st. It also ranked first in the BUMP weekly rankings. emole, the company that manages BUMP, announced this on January 29th.
The drama is a romantic comedy about a former popular Minato Ward girl, Kagawa Nana (played by Ogura), who is now over 30 and on the brink of a breakdown in her life, who battles for a single high-spec man in order to find the marriage of her dreams. There are 21 episodes, each about three minutes long. It also attracted attention as Ogura's first work in acting in about five years.
Regarding the reaction on social media, emole explained, "Right after it was released, it became a hot topic, especially on social media, and as videos of memorable lines and battle scenes between characters were spread, the number of viewers rapidly increased."
