It has been announced that the anime "Yokai Den Nekome Kozo," based on the manga "Nekome Kozo" by the late Kazuo Umezu, will be broadcast on AT-X from 7pm on February 22nd, "Cat Day." This will be the first time it has been broadcast on television in about 20 years. The show is the originator of the "Gekimation" technique, which combines paper cutouts of characters against painterly backgrounds and live-action film as special effects, and was a new technique when it was first broadcast in 1976. Episodes 1 to 4 of this legendary original "Gekimation" will be broadcast as a special program.
"Yokai Den Nekome Kozo" is the story of Nekome Kozo, a misfit yokai born to a human woman and a yokai named Nekomata, who fights yokai all over the country and saves humans while searching for the image of his mother, whom he has never met.
To commemorate the special broadcast, AT-X subscribers will be given a chance to win the DVD box set, which will go on sale on February 27th.
