It has been announced that Ren Meguro of the popular group Snow Man will be appearing on the 50th anniversary special of the long-running TV Asahi talk show Tetsuko's Room, which will be broadcast on February 1st (excluding some regions). He has been announced as the first of a number of impressive guests.
The host, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, had been keeping an eye on Meguro's activities for some time. When Meguro appeared with a large bouquet of flowers, she exclaimed with delight, "Wow, I'm so happy! I've heard he's a really cool guy, and he really is." She then asked him to do something "unreasonable," asking, "Your eyes are so long and beautiful! Can you wink? Can you try it for me?" Meguro was embarrassed, saying, "I didn't expect to be so embarrassed as soon as I came out (laughs)."
When the topic turned to "what you're into right now," Meguro confessed that he's a big fan of Kuroyanagi's YouTube channel, "Tetsuko's Whimsical TV." When he said, "I love the way Tetsuko eats," Kuroyanagi invited him on a dinner date, saying, "Let's go to XX together next time!"
There was also a scene where Meguro gave a gentle lecture and Kuroyanagi tried her hand at dancing to Snow Man's hit song "Charismax."
Meguro-san apparently practiced his talk with Koji Mukai, a member of Snow Man who has experience on "Tetsuko's Room." Mukai simulated the recording while impersonating Kuroyanagi-san, but will they be able to show the results?
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the program's launch, "Celebrating Tetsuko's Room's 50th Anniversary: A Super Luxurious Celebration Special with the Whole Entertainment Industry," will be broadcast from 5:00 pm to 8:56 pm on February 1st.
