The second episode of the TBS Tuesday drama "Mirai no Musuko" (Tuesdays at 10pm), starring actress Shida Mirai, aired on January 20th. The nursery school teacher Matsuoka Yuta, played by popular group WEST. member Kotaki Nozomu, was well-received by viewers, with comments such as "His gaze is so gentle it's melting" and "He's so cool."

Yuta heard from Mirai (Shida) that Souta (Amano Yu) had suddenly disappeared. "Don't worry. I'll look for him," he volunteered, and asked Mirai to wait at home in case Souta returns. Yuta looked Mirai straight in the eye and said with confidence, "I'll definitely find him!"
Afterwards, Yuta finds Souta and takes him to Mirai. Souta tries to tell her something, saying, "Mom, I'm on my own..." but Mirai yells at him, "Don't do anything on your own! Do you know how worried I was? I told you to wait here, didn't I?"
Yuta calmed down the excited Mirai and asked him with a gentle look in his eyes, "Souta. There must be a reason, right?" Souta then began to cry.
Yuta gently touched Sota's back as he shed tears sadly and said, "Make sure you tell your mommy what to do." He also told Mirai, "Kids sometimes do strange things, but there's a reason for it. Listen to them before scolding them."
On social media, people were talking about how "Yuta is doing great and his gaze is so gentle I'm completely smitten", "Yuta is starting to look like a savior", "Kotaki Ma-kun really found us and he's so cool", "Kotaki is so addictive", "Ma-sensei's destructive power is just too intense", "Ma-sensei is filled with my beloved Kotaki-kun", and "I can't wait to see what happens to their relationship in the future".
The drama is based on the popular manga "My Future Son: A Son Came Down From Heaven After 10 Years of Singles!" written by Kumiko Aso and illustrated by Hajime Kuromugi. Mirai, who is unsatisfied in love, work and dreams, suddenly becomes a mother. Through raising a child, she learns about the importance of living and supporting others, and starts living again. This is Shida's first role as a mother in 20 years, since the 2006 drama "14-Year-Old Mother" (NTV).
