It was revealed on January 22nd that Erika Ikuta, a former member of the idol group Nogizaka46 who is active as a singer and actor, will be performing the ending theme "Ima mo, Arigato" for the TV anime "Ascendance of a Bookworm: The Lord's Adopted Daughter." "Ascendance of a Bookworm: The Lord's Shosetsuka ni Naro: I'll Do Anything to Become a Librarian," which is published on the novel submission site "Let's Become a Novelist." It will be produced by WIT STUDIO, the studio behind "SPY×FAMILY" and "Attack on Titan Season 3." It will air nationwide on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV affiliates every Saturday at 5:30 pm starting April 4th. It will be broadcast over two consecutive seasons. It will also air on TOKYO MX every Monday at 9:25 pm starting April 6th.
Ascendance of a Bookworm is a light novel written by Miya Kazuki and illustrated by Yu Shiina. The story follows Urano Motosu, a girl living in modern Japan, who dies on the day she secures her dream job at a library. She regains consciousness as Myne, a young girl in another world ruled by magical aristocrats, and struggles to obtain books. The first season of the anime aired from October to December 2019, the second from April to June 2020, and the third from April to June 2022.
