◇The following contains spoilers.
In the first episode, novelist Fumina is waiting for her laundry to finish, listening to music and writing down words in the "notebook for organizing thoughts" she carries with her every day at a nearby laundromat. There, she meets Yukio, a hairdresser who happens to be using the laundromat because the washer-dryer at the store has broken down.
Fumina and Yukio, who is a fan of "Michelle Gun Elephant," whose music was leaking from Fumina's earphones, have a casual conversation. Afterwards, out of curiosity, Fumina follows Yukio to the hair salon and then to his house. Seeing Yukio looking a little confused, Fumina leaves the house saying, "I'll be heading back then," but returns shortly after and says, "This isn't the first time we've met." Yukio then tells Fumina, "I think I like you already," and the next morning, Fumina decides to go out with Yukio.
A year later, Fumina meets up with a senior novelist, Yamada Sen, at an izakaya, drinks with him, and then goes to a hotel. In the room, they playfully urge Yamada, saying, "Hey, let me kiss you!" After spending time together, Fumina kisses him and leaves the room. In the final scene, Fumina is hanging out the laundry at Yukio's house, and as he heads out, she smiles and says, "Have a nice trip."
On social media, the behavior of Fumina, played by Sugisaki, became a hot topic. Comments such as "She's too much of a swamp girl," "She's a femme fatale," "I don't like girls like Fumina, but I'm drawn in by her every single gesture and expression...," "She's a wicked, cunning, and charming woman," and "I can't wait to see what happens to Fumina, who is charming, mysterious, and fragile," and other such comments have been posted, attracting a lot of attention.
