The drama is based on the popular manga "My Future Son: A Son Came Down From Heaven After 10 Years of Singles!" written by Kumiko Aso and illustrated by Hajime Kuromugi. Mirai, who is unsure about love, work, and dreams, suddenly becomes a mother. Through raising a child, she learns about living with others and supporting each other, and the story depicts her rekindling her life.
Makoto is a young member of the Albatross theater company that Mirai belongs to. He is attracted to Mirai's single-minded dedication to everything she does, but he keeps his feelings to himself.
On the way home after practice, Makoto was alone with Mirai and told her that he had passed the audition he had taken the other day for a high school student role. "I did it!" Mirai exclaimed happily, to which Makoto blurted out, "But I'm already 23 (years old)."
"You're still 23, so young!" Mirai said, to which Makoto replied, "I don't think you're that different from Mirai-san." However, Mirai rubbed her hands coldly and looked down, saying, "Completely different."
Seeing this, Makoto said, "I'm not that cold," and casually placed the hand warmer he was holding on Mirai's right hand.
On social media, the comment became a hot topic, with comments such as "It was so cute when he casually handed her the hand warmer," "It was so cute when he gave her the hand warmer," "He has a nice younger vibe!", "His affection comes across so naturally. Also, I love how he doesn't go out of his way to praise or comfort Mirai-chan or dig too deep into her," "It was so kind of him to give her the hand warmer," and "The scene with the hand warmer was so heartwarming and nice."
