It has been announced that actor Sumi Kokona will be appearing in the role of Gavan Luminous/Iwai Kiki in "Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity" (TV Asahi, Sundays at 9:30 AM), the first installment of the new special effects series "PROJECT RED," which will begin airing on February 15th. Kado is 19 years old and was born on May 4, 2006. He has appeared in films such as " Oishi Kyushoku Graduation" (2022) and "Until the Day I Can Laugh at Blue" (2023), as well as the short drama "Our Precision School" (BUMP, 2024). He is affiliated with the talent agency "Sticker."
Yoshiteru plays Gavan, a golden combat suit-wearing detective from "Multi-Earth I5109 (Iota Gohito Marukyu)," a different dimension from the universe in which the main character, Gavan Infinity/Doki Reiji (played by Nagata Kohei), lives. Although he is in the forensics department, he is an eccentric detective recognized as Gavan, and although he excels in deductive and analytical skills, he has an otaku temperament and is focused on things that interest him. His joy is "knowing," and he is deeply interested in the newly discovered energy life form "Emolgy." He accurately analyzes situations and seeks to solve them with the optimal equipment.
Regarding his appearance in the film, Kaku commented, "The day when I can deliver the film to everyone is approaching, and I'm feeling very excited. Regarding her role, she said, "Kiki is a girl who is single-minded about anything she is interested in. It was also announced that Tanida Rana will be playing the role of Takanari Kotobuki, Yoshiki's best friend and partner investigator. He plays the straight man to Yoshiki, who lives at his own pace, and they call each other "Kiki" and "Koto."
This new work is a completely new "Gavan" that inherits the visuals and space-set sci-fi elements of "Space Sheriff Gavan," which aired from 1982 to 1983, while being reconstructed using the latest visual expression and directing methods. The story unfolds in a worldview based on the "multiverse theory," in which there is not just one universe, but another Earth that is identical to Earth, and Gavan Infinity/Reiji Nojo solves cases set in a variety of dimensions.
