It has been announced that actor Kohei Nagata will play the lead character Gavan Infinity/Doki Reiji in "Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity" (TV Asahi, Sundays at 9:30 AM), the first installment of the new special effects series "PROJECT RED," which will begin airing on February 15th. Nagata is 28 years old and was born on September 12, 1997. He has been active mainly in the stage industry, playing the role of Kagemitsu Koryu in the musical "Touken Ranbu " and the role of Rin Itoshi in the stage play " Blue Lock 2nd STAGE." He is affiliated with the talent agency "Rising Production."
Reiji, played by Reiji, is an investigator in the Data Division of the Earth Branch of the Galactic Federation Police. He "deposits" his angry Emolgi onto Gavan Infinity. Filled with a passionate sense of justice, he is honest about his anger. Using the Data Division, a window-stopping department, as a cover, he travels across dimensions to other universes when an Emolgia incident occurs on the infinitely numerous multiverse Earths. He is a charmer who meets someone calling himself Gavan in another universe, and while they are sometimes misunderstood and sometimes hit it off, they pursue Emolgia criminals in a joint investigation and form a deep friendship.
At the production announcement, he demonstrated the "vapor deposition" pose, which is the command used to transform into the metallic red combat suit, and enthusiastically stated, "Right now, I'm filled with a sense of responsibility and a sense of 'I'm going to do it!' and I'm overflowing with 'positive emotional vibrations'."
He also commented, "I think what we're trying to do now is to create new history. I think there will be high walls that appear along the way, but just like the theme of this work, 'overcoming,' we want to join forces and 'surpass' those walls. I would be happy if I could share this historic moment with you all." He also said, "There are many colleagues who are not here at this 'Super Production Announcement.' "Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity" is a completely new "Gavan" that has been reconstructed using the latest visual and production techniques while retaining the visuals and space-based sci-fi elements of "Space Sheriff Gavan," which aired from 1982 to 1983. The story unfolds in a worldview based on the "multiverse theory," in which there is not just one universe, but another Earth that is identical to Earth, and Reiji solves cases set in a variety of dimensions.
The cast for the Galactic Federation Police, who are from the same "Multiverse Earth A0073 (Alpha Marumaru Nanasan)" as Reiji, has also been announced. Matsunaga Arihiro will play Colonel Date Daisuke, who is a classmate of Reiji, Arisaka Kokoro will play Agi, the autonomous AI all-purpose assistant in the Information Department created by the Colonel, and Yasuda Hiroto will play Wanibuchi Rikiya, an elite member of the Earth Branch's First Investigation Division.
