Episode 1,189, "Double Alibi," of the TV anime " Detective Conan " (Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV), based on the popular manga by Gosho Aoyama , will be broadcast from 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
Conan and Kogoro are asked by watchmaker Tanno Ayata to go to the hotel where he is staying. Tanno has received a threatening letter and is being targeted for assassination. Meanwhile, Professor Agasa and Haibara are visiting a lake about an hour's drive away when they discover the body of Tanno's master, Kobuchi Masato. During the investigation, it is discovered that Kobuchi and Tanno had had a heated argument a few days prior. Kogoro is suspicious of Tanno, but the distance between the hotel and the crime scene, as well as the estimated time of death, make it impossible that Tanno committed the crime.
" Detective Conan" is a popular manga serialized by Aoyama in the manga magazine "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan). It depicts elementary school detective Conan Edogawa solving difficult cases one after another.
