The official Twitter account (@TBS_VIVANT) for the popular TBS Sunday drama "VIVANT," starring actor Masato Sakai, which will begin airing on July 26th at 9 PM, has released a character visual of Yusuke Nogi, played by Sakai.
Sakai plays Nogi, the protagonist who has two faces: a public face as an unremarkable trading company employee at Marubishi Trading, and a secret face as an operative in the "Special Unit." In the previous film, a $100 million erroneous transfer incident led him to confront the terrorist organization Tent, led by his father, Nogorn Beki/Takashi Nogi (played by Koji Yakusho). Ultimately, he thwarted Beki's revenge.
Nogi is also characterized by having an alternate personality called "F" with an aggressive personality, and in the released visual, Nogi is seen staring into the distance with a stern expression. On social media, there were comments such as, "Is this Nogi? Isn't it F?", "He looks kind of stern... I'm worried...", "This must be the Nogi from the other unit", and "I hope he's getting along with Princess Nokoru", referring to his relationship with his stepbrother Nokoru, played by Kazunari Ninomiya.
This film opens immediately after the last scene of the previous film. Just as Nogi returns from a series of missions involving the international terrorist organization "Tent," he sees a red steamed bun placed in a shrine.
It was a signal that an emergency mobilization of the other unit had been ordered. What exactly was happening behind the scenes on the day Yusuke fired a bullet at Nogorn Beki, his father and the leader of the tent, and on the day he reunited with Kaoru (Fumi Nikaido) and Jameen and embraced them tightly? The truth will be revealed in the first episode of the sequel.
