The drama is based on the popular manga "My Future Son: A Son Came Down From Heaven After 10 Years of Singles!" written by Kumiko Aso and illustrated by Hajime Kuromugi. A woman who is half-hearted in love, work and dreams suddenly becomes a mother. Through raising her child, she learns about the importance of living and supporting others, and starts living again. This is Shida's first role as a mother in 20 years, since the 2006 drama "14-Year-Old Mother" (NTV).
Mirai, who is pursuing her dream of becoming an actor and is a member of the Albatross theater company led by her ex-boyfriend, Yoshizawa Masaki (Akihisa Shiono), is beginning to wonder if it's time to quit after being rejected from an audition. One day, along with a loud thunderclap, Sota suddenly appears.
"Mommy!" Souta said, happily hugging Mirai. "I'm from the future," he said with a smile, and started up his smartwatch with ease. "Hey, Luna, explain!" Souta instructed, and happily showed the smartwatch to Mirai.
The smartwatch, called Luna, explained that Souta was his son from the future, coming from the year 2036. Looking at his future face, unable to hide his confusion, Souta again frolicked and called out, "Mama!" On social media, the video became a hot topic, with comments such as, "The child actor is just so cute," "The child actor is too cute. He's just adorable," "The child actor is so cute, it's comforting!" and "Amano Yu's acting is amazing."
