It has been announced that the fifth season of the TV anime " Rent-A-Girlfriend, " based on the romantic comedy manga by Reiji Miyajima currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), will begin airing in April on MBS, TBS, and other late-night anime slots, "Animeism." Season 5 will enter the second cour of the Hawaiians arc. The first key visual has been released, depicting Mizuhara Chizuru and Nanami Asami in swimsuits. The two characters, facing each other by the pool, have contrasting expressions, with Chizuru sporting a strong-willed expression and Asami sporting a defiant smile. The accompanying copy reads, "Now, the fateful moment..."
The anime's official website has been revamped, and it has been announced that the staff and cast will be continuing from season 4. The character introduction page on the official website also features images of Kinoshita Kazuya, Chizuru, and Asami in swimsuits and indoor wear.
" Rent-A-Girlfriend" tells the story of Kazuya, a 20-year-old college student who gets dumped by his girlfriend and meets Chizuru, a beautiful girl who rents out her to him. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017. The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2020, the second from July to September 2022, the third from July to September 2023, and the fourth from July to September 2025.
