Actor Kuranosuke Sasaki stars in the NHK BS period drama "Fuurai Gumo" (NHK BS/BS Premium 4K, Sundays at 6:45 PM). The subtitle of the second episode, which will be broadcast on January 11th, is "Ryoma Has Come," and the synopsis and scene cuts have also been released.

"Fuurai Cloud" is a period drama based on the manga of the same name by George Akiyama. The setting is Shinagawa-shuku at the end of the Edo period. "Fuurai Cloud" is an eccentric man who wears a woman's kimono and has his hair tied in front of his forehead. With a fluffy and elusive appearance, he lives his days freely, but before you know it, he gently changes the destinies of others. It is a hymn to humanity filled with laughter and tears.
Kana Kurashina plays Kame, the wife of Furubumi Kumo, a generous and charming woman who embraces Kumo with deep affection, while Eito Kawahara plays their son Shinnosuke, who is serious but also has a childlike side. Other cast members include Issey Ogata Ogata, Gota Watanabe, Naomasa Rokuhei, Tomoya Maeno, and Noriko Nakagoshi.
In the second episode, Sakamoto Ryoma (Nakayama Yuma) arrives at Shinagawa-juku. Kame (Kurashina), Shinnosuke (Kawahara), and Aota Sensei (Watanabe) are all excited. At O-Rin's (Nakagoe) izakaya "Chottoko," Fuuragumo (Sasaki) happens to meet Ryoma and they hit it off and go for a drink. However, after leaving the bar, he is attacked by an assassin and saves him, which makes Fuuragumo feel uneasy about Ryoma's future. Meanwhile, influenced by Ryoma, Shinnosuke runs away from home with his best friend Kotaro (Murakami Akiga), who has decided to study Dutch studies in Osaka... and so the story unfolds.
