Actor Seiji Rokkaku's signature NHK program, "Seiji Rokkaku's Drinking Train Main Line: Travelling in Japan," will be broadcast in three consecutive episodes on NHK BS from 3:48 pm on December 31st.
The program lineup includes a springtime journey on the JR Dosan Line and Tosa Kuroshio Railway, where viewers can sample sake that pairs perfectly with Kochi's unique bonito fish, in Shikoku, titled "Spring: Drinking on the Dosan Line and Tosa Kuroshio Railway (Gomen-Nahari Line)!" (broadcast on May 20, 2025); a midsummer journey on the Akita Inland Longitudinal Railway and Yuri Kogen Railway, where viewers can enjoy the blue waters of Lake Tazawa in Akita, titled "Summer: Drinking on the Akita Inland Longitudinal Railway and Yuri Kogen Railway!" (broadcast on October 14, 2025); and an autumnal journey on the JR Geibi Line, Kisuki Line, and Ichibata Electric Railway, set in the Chugoku region, titled "Autumn: Drinking on the Geibi Line, Kisuki Line, and Ichibata Electric Railway!" (broadcast on November 20, 2025).
Rokkaku commented, "'Drinking Train Main Line: Japan Travel' is a program in which I travel at my own pace, riding local trains to visit local sake breweries and eating local delicacies. This time, you will watch three episodes of Drinking Train in a row, and since it's New Year's Eve, I hope you will enjoy it at a more relaxed pace than usual."
