On December 26th, it was revealed that the popular group Snow Man had taken first place for the second consecutive year in the "Total Ranking by Artist Sales" of the 58th Oricon Annual Ranking 2025, which announces the artists with the highest total sales of "music software" and "digital."
Snow Man, who celebrated their fifth anniversary this year, recorded their highest sales of approximately 20.39 billion yen during the period. They are the sixth group in history to surpass 20 billion yen in sales during the period in the annual rankings, following B'z, Hikaru Utada, Ayumi Hamasaki, Arashi, and King & Prince (Mrs. Green Applee also achieved this milestone this year), and the first artist to debut in the Reiwa era.
The breakdown of sales during the period was approximately 1.54 billion yen from singles, approximately 12.24 billion yen from albums, 1.96 billion yen from music DVDs, approximately 3.18 billion yen from music BDs (Blu-ray Discs), approximately 130 million yen from downloads, and approximately 1.34 billion yen from streaming. Sales of "music software" excluding "digital" (downloads and streaming) came to approximately 18.9 billion yen, and the group also took first place in the "Music Software Ranking by Artist Sales" for the third time in a row.
Snow Man's Abe Ryohei sent a message of thanks to fans, saying, "It's a true honor, and all the members are very happy, but this award wouldn't be possible without all of you who support us, so thank you so much."
Tatsuya Fukazawa also said, "I'm really grateful to everyone (who supported us), and it made me want to deliver even better works to everyone."

The calculation period for the 58th Oricon Annual Ranking 2025 was from December 23rd to December 15th of last year. The actual calculation period was from December Getsuku to December 7th of last year.
