The 11th episode of the special program "Nobody Knows Akashiya Sanma" (Nippon TV), which uncovers the unknown side of Akashiya Sanma, will be broadcast from 7pm on December 14th. The program will feature exclusive coverage of Sanma attending the wedding of his son, Nichika.
At Nichisho's wedding, Sanma, his mother Shinobu Otake, his sister IMALU, and comedian Jimmy Onishi all gathered. Although not his biological father, Nichisho is an irreplaceable presence in his life, and he had been struggling with what title to use for Sanma on the seating chart. Should he be called "father" or "ex-father"? The answer is revealed.
Despite the tension around him, Sanma took "a certain unexpected action" at the family introduction, causing the audience to erupt in laughter. In a complicated yet loving atmosphere with his ex-wife in attendance, Sanma's hilarious speech will be shown almost uncut.
In addition to the wedding, the program will also feature an episode from "The Road to Meet Smiles - Father Akashiya Sanma" (2020), a dramatization of Sanma and Nichisho's relationship. Little-known family secrets will be revealed, including the episode of the "spirit" Sanma gave to Nichisho when he was a child suffering from asthma, and the golden words Sanma gave to his mother, Otake, who was strongly opposed to starting a business: "Failure is normal in life."
In the studio, Sato Shori, who played the role of Nichishou in the drama, watched over Nichishou's touching wedding ceremony.
