The ninth episode of the TV anime "SANDA," based on the manga by Paru Itagaki, known for "BEASTARS," titled "It's an Artificial Flower, But the Roots Rot," will be broadcast on the late-night anime slot "Animeism" on MBS, TBS, and other channels from late night on November 28th.
Santa is told by the chairman, Tetsudome Juyo, that he lacks the courage to face children. With Tetsudome's help, Mita becomes a black Santa, but he wonders if this power is the strong adult he aspires to be. Later, when Mita is reunited with Namatame, he decides to endure the carnage without fighting children, and to prove that he can withstand the carnage.
"SANDA" is a manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten) from July 2021 to July 2024. It is a unique "Santa Claus" hero action story set in a near-future Japan where children are overly protected in an era of extremely low birth rates. The anime is directed by Tomohisa Shimoyama, known for "Yurei Deco" and "SUPER SHIRO," and produced by Science SARU. Ayumu Murase plays the role of Mita Kazushige, and Tochi Hiroki plays the role of Santa Claus.
