As part of the 60th anniversary project for the monster movie "Gamera" series, it has been announced that a collaboration with the Keio Group will take place. On the Keio Line of Keio Electric Railway, collaborative trains with 60th anniversary commemorative headmarks will be in operation from December 1st, and collaborative advertisements will appear inside the trains.
Since the "Gamera" series was "born" at Daiei Tokyo Film Studios (now Kadokawa Daiei Studios) in Chofu, Tokyo, a collaboration with the commercial facility, Torie Keio Chofu, will also be implemented. The "Showa Gamera Film Festival" will be held at Aeon Cinema Theater Chofu within the facility from December 12th, and from December 6th, you can enjoy a monster stamp rally where you can receive a "Gamera x Torie special postcard." Original donuts will also be on sale.
Gamera is a monster that appears in the special effects film "Gamera the Giant Monster," released by Daiei in 1965, and is modeled after a turtle. He is a child who protects people from danger to the Earth, and a champion of justice, and he spins around and flies in a disc-shaped form. After "Gamera the Giant Monster," a total of eight films were produced as the "Showa Gamera" series, including "Space Monster Gamera." The series also included the "Heisei Gamera" series and "Little Braves: Gamera."
