Kaho and Takeuchi Ryoma co-star in the TBS Tuesday drama "Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo It" (Tuesdays at 10 PM). This drama is being called "the number one this season" among the fall dramas, but attention is also being drawn to the "drama within the drama."
The fictional trendy drama "Forever Love in Tokyo" is the bible of the protagonist, Ebikatsu Katsuo Ebihara (played by Takeuchi), and he is so addicted to it that he even watches it when he visits his hometown.
The trendy, cheesy scenes inserted in every episode have become a hot topic, with viewers on social media commenting, "The trendy dramas in the show are always entertaining," "I look forward to each episode of this drama, just like the main story," "It's fun because I don't really understand the lines in the trendy dramas," "Whenever 'Forever Love in Tokyo' comes on, I lean forward to watch it!", "I'm looking forward to Forever more than Katsuo," "I want to watch the whole trendy drama that Katsuo is watching," and "I'm intrigued by 'Forever Love in Tokyo'! Let's see a spin-off!"
Only short scenes are shown each time, so the full story has not been revealed, but it is said to be a love story about a young man who has just moved to Tokyo from the countryside, falls in love in the city, and struggles to get engaged while struggling in the rough waves of Tokyo.
The protagonist of the series, Shunpei Sakakibara, also known as "Shunpi," will be played by Yuki Tachibana. He is a promising young actor who has also appeared in "The Best Teacher: One Year Later, I Was Killed by My Student" (2023, Nippon TV) and TBS Sunday Theatre "Gekokujo Baseball Player" (2023). He also appeared in "Chihayafuru -Meguri-" (NTV) which aired in July this year, as one of the members of the protagonist's rival school.
The lovely heroine whom Shunpei falls in love with, Mari, also known as Nagasaka Mari, will be played by Kokoro Aoshima. She made her breakthrough in the role of Tsumuri in the 2022-2023 special effects drama "Kamen Rider Geats," and is currently active as a model thanks to her beautiful and pure looks. This will be her first regular role in a TBS drama in the golden prime time slot.
The two have a cool image, but in "Forever Love in Tokyo" they completely change that image. They recreate the atmosphere of the time with nostalgic fashion, such as Shunpi's long hair and Mari's crested bangs, and they also play characters with a somewhat surreal feel.
As the story nears its end, the line "Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo" comes up. Attention is likely to be focused not only on how the story will turn out, but also on the ending of "Forever Love in Tokyo."
