The fifth episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama "The Royal Family" (Sundays at 9:00 PM), starring Satoshi Tsumabuki, aired on Getsuku. The sudden closeness between Yuriko (Koichi Sato), daughter of Sanno Kozo (Nagisa Sekimizu Koichi), and Saki (Takasugi Mahiro), the jockey who rides Royal Hope, became a hot topic.

Royal Hope and Saki are riding high on the momentum and have been selected to run in the Japanese Derby. Kurisu (Tsumabuki), trainer Hironaka (Ando Masanobu), Saki, and reporter Taira (Kenjiro Tsuda) toast for victory in the Derby. Yuriko, who joined late, asks to join in and have another toast, but Saki says, "Oh, sorry. I'm done now." Yuriko pleads, "What?! Tea's fine, let's toast with tea."
Hironaka, who was watching the two of them, said mischievously, "You two are in perfect sync, let's go out together." Saki slapped Hironaka on the back and said, "Please stop," in a complete denial.
Kozo was tired that day and did not participate. Taira expressed his admiration, saying, "Work and horses must be tough, you're still moving around at your age," to which Yuriko replied, "Right! In your private life too," teasing Kozo, whose secret child was reported in a weekly magazine. Yuriko then added with a laugh, "Do you really think everyone has a secret child?"

The story is based on the novel of the same name by Kazuma Hayami. Kurisu admired her father, who was a tax accountant, and followed in his footsteps, but she experienced setbacks and lost hope. However, her life takes a major turn when she meets Kozo Sanno, a horse owner.
