Former Fuji TV announcer Nagisa Watanabe appeared in a video posted on the YouTube channel "REAL VALUE" on November 10th. She revealed her annual income situation after leaving Fuji TV in August last year and going freelance.
Watanabe, who serves as the MC for the channel, began by talking with staff about a topic that is frequently featured in the online version of the weekly magazine "FLASH" (Kobunsha). "I don't want to get into any conflict with FLASH. I've been featured in their gravure magazine once, so let's get along," she commented. "Please feature me in a gravure magazine, not an article (laughs)," she requested.
She also mentioned that an article in "FLASH" had been written with the headline "critical situation," denying it by saying, "It's not a critical situation." She prefaced her statement by saying, "If I say this again, people might say I'm getting cocky," but then firmly stated, "I'm making a lot more than I did when I was a station announcer (laughs)." When asked by a staff member, "Do you understand why announcers are becoming freelancers?" she admitted, "I totally get it." There was a scene in which she revealed her current monthly income, but it was cut out due to audio processing.
