The 25th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi as the heroine, was broadcast on October 31st, and viewers were drawn to the words that Nishikori ( Ryo Yoshizawa ) said to Heaven ( Tommy Bastow ), who refused to come out of his room.
In episode 25, Heaven is refusing to come out on her first day of school, holed up in her room. Nishikori comes to pick her up and tries to persuade her to go to school because the students are waiting, but the shoji door won't open. When Nishikori tries to force the door open, Toki (Takaishi), who happens to be there, asks, "Aren't you scared of Teacher Heaven?"
Toki revealed that his hands were shaking when he shook hands with Heaven when they first met, and said, "He came from a foreign country to a new city, meeting new people, and they all had high expectations of him. He must have been scared since then, and the more time passed, the more scared he became, getting irritated, angry, saying unreasonable things, screaming hell, hell... Teacher Heaven is human too. Just like us..." He then told Heaven that they should leave him alone for now.
Nevertheless, Nishikori opens the sliding screen door and calls out to Heaven, who is yelling at him to get out, "Reporter Heaven!" Nishikori has been told by Governor Eto (Sano Shiro) that Heaven is not a teacher, but a newspaper reporter who became interested in Japan after reading the Kojiki and came to Japan to write an account of her stay.
Heaven's desk was littered with papers she had written after intensely studying Japanese. Nishikori told Heaven, "You don't need Japanese. You don't need educational language. Everyone is waiting for you to speak, for yourself." He then looked her straight in the eye and said, "If you still need help, I'm here for you."
Heaven asked anxiously, "Am I okay?" Nishikori replied, "I'm waiting for you." Heaven seemed relieved and confessed his true feelings, "I'm hungry. I'm hungry."
Nishikori's words, "I'm here," drew comments on social media such as, "I was moved to tears," "It really touched me," "I think this will be a great support for Heaven," "I wonder how much lighter Heaven must have felt... I'm so glad!", "It was a moment when we connected our hearts," "I'm happy that they seem to be a good pair," and "The two people who were separated by a shoji screen have come a lot closer."
