It has been announced that the TV anime " You and I Are Polar Opposites ," based on the manga by Kocha Agasawa that was serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump + (Plus)," will be broadcast on MBS and TBS every Sunday at 5:00 pm starting January 11, 2026.
The main visual features Suzuki and Tani surrounded by Watanabe holding a selfie camera, Sato striking a pose, Higashi smiling and Taira looking confused, Yamada and Nishi looking happy, and Honda watching over them. The third PV has also been released, featuring the ending theme "Pure feat. Hashimoto Eriko" by the music unit "PAS TASTA."
The manga was serialized in Shonen Jump+ from May 2022 to November 2024. It is a romantic comedy depicting the love story between Suzuki, a lively girl who reads the atmosphere, and Tani, a quiet boy who can clearly express his opinions. The total number of copies of the comic, including the digital version, has exceeded 1.6 million. The anime will be directed by Takakazu Nagatomo and produced by Lapin Track.
