The second episode of the TV drama "A Little Esper" starring Yo Oizumi (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9pm) will be broadcast on October 28th.
Bunta (Oizumi), a salaryman who has just been fired from his company and is at rock bottom in his life, drinks a mysterious capsule at his new job at Nonamare, where he becomes a bit of a psychic, able to hear inner voices only while in contact with it. Although he completes the first mission assigned to him by the company president, Cho (Masaki Okada), he is unable to accept that "this is really going to save the world."
Shiki (Aoi Miyazaki), who is now living with Bunta as a temporary couple, is annoyed at the aloof Bunta, saying, "We're married!" Bunta is further confused by Shiki, who believes he is her real husband.
The next morning, Nonamare sends Bunta a new mission: "Prevent a certain painter from reaching his destination." Bunta is puzzled by the incomprehensible nature of the mission, but he embarks on the mission with his fellow psychic colleagues, Sakurasuke (Dean Fujioka), Enjaku (Atsuko Takahata), and Hanzo (Shohei Uno). For some reason, the group also drags Shiki into their journey to Owakudani in Hakone.
The script is by Akiko Nogi. Having become a bit of a psychic, Bunta embarks on a mission to save the world with his friends, following the rule that "you must not love people."
