Akari Takaishi stars in the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake" (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others). The fifth week, "I'm Heaven. Matsue is also Heaven," which begins on October 27th, will feature the characters from Hanada Ryokan.
In the fifth week, Toki (Takaishi) has been separated from Ginjiro (Kanichiro) for four years. Toki is still struggling to escape his poverty and is earning a living by selling clams.
At the Hanada Inn, where Toki is a client, Toki is informed by the owner, Heita (Namase Katsuhisa), and his wife, Tsuru (Iketani Nobue), that foreigners will be coming to Matsue. Toki's anticipation grows at the sight of these foreigners, whom he has never seen before. And then the day arrives. Toki visits the pier, which is bustling with people in a welcoming mood, and meets Lefkada Heaven (Tommy Bastow)...
Heita Hanada, played by Namase, is the owner of the Hanada Inn in Matsue where Heaven will be staying. He is also friendly with Toki, who comes to sell clams, and watches over her with warmth. He is a kind-hearted man, but sometimes causes trouble with an inappropriate remark.
Hanada Tsuru, played by Iketani, is the proprietress of Hanada Ryokan who runs the inn together with Heita. She is very fond of Toki. Her cool and tough personality is a source of comfort to Toki.
In addition to Namase and Ikeya, Nouchi Maru will appear as Ume, a maid who will look after Heaven at the Hanada Inn. Ume is a gentle and laid-back character who is not afraid to interact with foreigners she meets for the first time.
"Bakebake" is the 113th morning Asadora. Based on the life of Lafcadio Yakumo Koizumi(Lafcadio Hearn) and his wife Setsu, the story follows the heroine, who loves ghost stories, as she lives her ordinary, everyday life with her foreign husband. The story is not based on an original novel, but is an original work by screenwriter Mitsuhiko Fujiki, who has worked on NHK's drama "Asagaya Sisters' Relaxed Life" and WOWOW's "Shooting Break Series."
