Mechanical core plating of MG Hyakushiki with new technology for a deep luster

The Gunpla model of the Hyakushiki that appears in the anime Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, "MG 1/100 Gundam Base Limited Hyakushiki Ver.2.0 [Mechanical Core Plating]" (Bandai Spirits), went on sale on October 25th. This is a limited edition product from Gundam Base, a comprehensive Gunpla facility. It costs 17,600 yen.

The "MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki Ver.2.0" now features "mechanical core plating." Mechanical core plating is a new technology that applies vapor deposition plating only to the core side of the parts, allowing for a deep, glossy finish.

Even when assembled without any modifications, it is said to have a luxurious and high-density finish.
