The drama is an original work by screenwriter Yoshikazu Okada, known for the "Second to Last Love" series. It is a home comedy about three families living in a retro apartment building, with Kitamura and Nakama playing a married couple. This is Kitamura's first lead role in a prime-time terrestrial TV drama.
Three families gathered at the home of Nagashima Shinichi (Kusakari Masao) and Satoko (Agawa Sawako) on the first floor of "Tasogare States." Ann (Nakama) asked to get divorced, but Wataru didn't respond, creating an awkward atmosphere. Everyone split into men and women and spent the night together.
Wataru confides in Shinichi that he understands An's feelings intellectually, but is afraid that if he accepts them, it will lead to a real divorce. As dawn breaks, Wataru goes to do radio calisthenics with Shinichi. An and the other women also arrive.
As the upbeat music of radio calisthenics played in the background, Wataru recalled the days he spent with Ann. Spreading his arms wide, he raised his voice and said, "Ann! I get it! Let's get a divorce!"
To a confused Ann, Wataru tearfully told her, "Because I love you. I'm getting a divorce because I love you! That's why! So, there are 53 days left until the divorce, so please get along with each other until then!"
On social media, comments such as "That radio exercise was too chaotic," "That radio exercise made me cry lol," "The radio exercise scene was both funny and sad, so I watched it with mixed emotions," "The scene where Kitamura Yukiya did the radio exercise to the point of tears made me cry," "I never thought a scene with radio exercises as background music would make me cry so much," and "It's sad to see these two wonderful people who met and married someone they cared so much for apart" were spreading.
