Hikaru Iwamoto of the popular group "Snow Man" appeared at a press conference held at TV Asahi headquarters (Minato Ward, Tokyo) on October 17th for the drama "Koi Suru Keigo 24ji Season 2" (TV Asahi, Fridays at 11:15pm *excluding some regions), which he stars in and which starts that evening. His co-stars revealed his stoic nature.
Iwamoto is known for being one of the most physically fit people in the entertainment industry, having appeared on the TBS sports variety show "SASUKE." Narumi Riko, who co-stars with him for the first time in this film, shared a behind-the-scenes anecdote, saying, "When we were shooting the gym scene, there was a lot of training equipment, and when Iwamoto came in, he was so excited, saying, 'There's something I can grab onto!' (laughs)."
"I was surprised to learn that even though filming is so hard, he still trains in between. The other day I saw him doing pull-ups and I was impressed by his incredible stamina and stoicism," he said in surprise.
Iwamoto said with a shy laugh, "Sorry, I'm a weird guy," but then added happily, "The director prepared a device for me to hang from (on set)!" When asked by the moderator, "Do you feel itchy if you don't move your body? Do you feel like doing it?", he replied firmly, "The time (to worry) is a waste. While I'm thinking about it, I can do it five times." He added with a wry smile, "I think everyone will probably be put off by this, so I'll stop here (about this)..."
This is the sequel to the original drama written by screenwriter Kaneko Arisa, which aired in January last year. The previous series depicted the story of the rugged bodyguard Kitazawa Tatsunosuke, played by Iwamoto, who arrests the real culprit behind his father's murder, and how he falls in love with the lawyer Kishimura Rika, played by Mai Shiraishi . In the sequel, his love with Rika faces a "trial." Furthermore, Tatsunosuke and the security team form a new structure, but they are unable to work together, and a difficult case arises, making for a difficult road ahead. This "thought-provoking action romantic comedy" will once again unfold a turbulent story. Shiraishi and Joichiro Fujiwara from " Naniwa Danshi " also appeared at the press conference.
