Hikaru Iwamoto of the popular group "Snow Man" appeared at a press conference held at the TV Asahi headquarters (Minato Ward, Tokyo) on October 17th for the drama "Koi Suru Keigo 24ji Season 2" (TV Asahi, Fridays at 11:15 PM *excluding some regions), which he stars in and which starts that evening. For the second year in a row, he subdued a "suspicious person" who had invaded the press conference.
This is the sequel to the original drama written by screenwriter Kaneko Arisa, which aired in January last year. The previous series depicted the story of the rugged bodyguard Kitazawa Tatsunosuke, played by Iwamoto, who arrests the real culprit behind his father's murder, and how he falls in love with the lawyer Kishimura Mai Shiraishi, played by Shiraishi Mai. In the sequel, his love for Rika faces a "trial." Furthermore, Tatsunosuke and his security team decide to form a new structure, but they are unable to work together, and a difficult case arises, making for a difficult road ahead. This "thought-provoking action romantic comedy" will once again unfold a turbulent story.
At the press conference, immediately after the cast took to the stage, a suspicious person carrying an iron pipe burst onto the stage. Iwamoto and Narumi Riko, who play bodyguards, provided live protection for Shiraishi, and Iwamoto was able to subdue the suspicious person with agility.
A "suspicious person" also barged into the press conference for the previous film held in January last year, but Iwamoto joked, "Isn't TV Asahi's security a little lax? (laughs) Last year they didn't have any weapons, so they brought some this time," and added with a smile, "I think the suspicious person was able to show off some cool moves." Shiraishi, who was under guard, smiled and said, "It was a very cool action scene! I was happy that they protected me."
The action scenes are said to be more powerful than in the previous film. Naniwa Danshi Danshi's Joichiro Fujiwara, who plays the role of a junior bodyguard, commented on his senior's strengths, saying, "He practices (the action scenes) many times, but he learns them quickly! I wonder if he has experience... His movements make me wonder if he's doing them while still in Snow Man." Iwamoto responded with, "What do you mean? (laughs)," before chiming in and saying, "He's a bodyguard."
