TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturdays at 9 PM) will feature Chofu Station (Chofu City, Tokyo) and the surrounding area as the third installment of its Keio Electric Railway line series on October 18th, and will broadcast the show's first public recording.
Chofu City celebrates its 70th anniversary as a city this year, and the program was recorded publicly to commemorate this. The program covers the dramatic changes taking place in front of the station! What is the current state of the iconic "Tako Park"? ▽Financiers and canelés from the popular Western-style pastry shop ▽Yakitori so delicious you can't hold a skewer in a backstreet that evokes the Showa era ▽Strong-flavored food everywhere in the city! Chofu City is also famous as the "Birthplace of Mizuki 'GeGeGe no Kitaro Manga," where the late Shigeru Mizuki, the creator of "GeGeGe no Kitaro" and an honorary citizen of Chofu City, lived for over 50 years. The program will feature the town filled with GeGeGe! The forest and teahouse where the yokai live, as well as the gomoku soba noodles that appeared in the manga and are associated with Shigeru Mizuki, will also be featured.
Furthermore, the host, Yoshihiko Inohara, will team up with "that person" to perform a song. The guests are former Japanese women's soccer player Homare Sawa and actor Hayato Isomura.
