The fifth season of the TV drama " Emergency Interrogation Room " (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 9:00 PM), starring Yuki Amami , will begin on October 16th. The script is by Inoue Yumiko. The first episode will be six minutes longer.
Amid growing opposition to a government-backed redevelopment plan to build a large-scale electricity storage facility beneath central Tokyo, two key construction workers were bludgeoned to death with pliers. There is growing speculation that the crime was committed by opponents.
After the Metropolitan Police Department's Emergency Response Investigation Team (commonly known as Kintori) was disbanded, Makabe Yukiko (Amami), who was assigned to the Special Crimes Investigation Unit, and Kajiyama Katsutoshi ( Tetsushi Tanaka), who became the head of the First Investigative Division, interviewed Tsujimoto Yuta (Akihiro Kakuta ), a public relations officer for a construction contractor, but were unable to identify the culprit.
Masato Kuramochi (played by Koji Yamamoto ), Japan's first wheelchair-bound Caster , covered the incident on his news program and criticized the government. His condescending tone drew criticism from viewers, but he ignored it and even made provocative remarks against the perpetrator.
Kuramochi's father, Isogai Shingo (Ryu Raita), who lived with him, is murdered at home, and Kuramochi, who was the first to discover the murder, is also attacked. The murder weapon was again a pair of pliers, raising the possibility that the same perpetrator may have been responsible for the previous incident. The Metropolitan Police Department decides to make temporary use of Kintori. Kintori members Yukiko, Kajiyama, Tamagaki Matsuo (Tsukaji Muga), Hishimoto Susumu (Denden), and Koishikawa Haruo ( Fumiyo Kohinata), who had been sent to a new location, reunite and begin their investigation.
Yukiko, who is also suspicious of the victim Kuramochi, receives a shocking testimony from the Kuramochi family's housekeeper, Tokita Fumie (Minemura Rie), and goes to see Kuramochi's estranged wife, Ritsuko (Wakamura Mayumi). She is troubled by Ritsuko's petty behavior, who claims she "knows nothing about the incident."
The four suspects are Kuramochi, Ritsuko, Tsujimoto, and the housekeeper Fumie, who is suspicious. Yukiko and the others are subjected to an unprecedented series of interrogations.
"Emergency Interrogation Room" is a popular series in which Amami plays Yukiko Makabe, a self-made interrogator who engages in a psychological battle of back and forth with violent criminals. The series began in 2014 and will conclude with the theatrical version of "Emergency Interrogation Room THE FINAL," which will be released on December 26th of this year.
