Eight new stills from the film "WIND BREAKER" (directed by Hagiwara Kentaro, to be released on December 5th), starring actor Koshi Mizukami, have recently been released.
The original work is a popular delinquent manga by Satoru Nii, currently being serialized on Kodansha's web manga service "Magapoke." It follows the story of the protagonist, Haruka Sakura (Mizukami), whose only redeeming quality is fighting, as she grows as a member of the " Bofurin " group that protects the town at Fuurin High School School, a school for delinquents.
Taisei Kido , Motoki Nakazawa , and Uesugi Shuhei also appear as members of the " Bofurin " group. Yagi Rikako, the only female member, appears as someone who watches over them. Koki Yamashita and Hamao Noritaka also appear. The narration is provided by Yuma Uchida, the voice actor who plays Sakura in the anime version.
The eight new scenes include footage of the main characters played by the all-star cast, as well as powerful action scenes.
The main photo shows the first-year students of the "Bofurin" team, Sakura (Mizukami), Nirei (Kido), Soho (Tsuna), and Sugishita (JUNON), as well as Tachibana Kotoha (Yagi Rikako), who runs the "Potos Cafe" relaxation spot, and Usamiyama (Yamashita) and Togame (Hamao) from the rival team, "Shishito Ren." The cast members are all in high demand, and the graffiti-style "WIND BREAKER" letters appear in the background, hinting at a heated battle.
In addition, photos were released showing the spectacular action of Sakura and other characters, as well as a glimpse of the heart-wrenching human drama.
Among the "Bofurin" members that Sakura meets, Nirei (Kido), who is not good at fighting but is an information savvy guy who likes to collect data on cool strong people, has been interested in Sakura's strength since the first day she transferred to the school. He has written all kinds of information about strong people in his secret notebook, and it seems he has also started to write about Sakura.
There is also a scene in which Soho (played by Tsuna), a mysterious character who is kind to everyone and has a clear mind, but who does not reveal his true feelings, gives a cold expression to his opponent during a fight. His unique fighting style is reminiscent of kung fu and aikido, and expectations are high to see what kind of fights he will show in the film.
Sugishita (JUNON), the toughest guy in school, has overwhelming power thanks to his height, and in one scene he slams his opponent to the floor with his distinctive long hair flying. This will be JUNON's first time acting and taking on action scenes.
There is also a shot of Sakura spending time with her friends at Cafe Potos, run by Kotoha (Yagi). We get a glimpse of Sakura's growth as she finds true friends for the first time.
Standing before the "Bofurin" are the most vicious group, the "Shishito Ren," who profess absolute faith in power. In contrast to the "Bofurin" who are uniformly dressed in green school uniforms, the group is clad in orange sukajan jackets and is made up of militant types, led by the president, Usamiyama (Yamashita). Vice president Togame (Hamao) adheres to his cold-hearted belief that "weak people don't belong in the Shishito Ren," and engages in a deadly duel with Sakura.
Both shots offer a glimpse into the heated battle between the "Bofurin" and the "Lion Head Group," making us eager to see how it will be portrayed in the live-action film.
