The 2026 calendar for Princess Kako, the second daughter of the Akishino family, titled "Smiling Princess Kako Calendar 2026 (Wall-hanging Type)" (Shufunotomosha) was released on October 6th.
The calendar is filled with special moments, and the cover features a shot of Princess Kako wearing a red coat and beaming with a big smile, which caused a stir when it was released on her 30th birthday. The calendar also includes a chronology of Princess Kako's life so far, from her birth to her further education, coming of age, and official visits abroad.
