Following "Pretty Cure All Stars F the Movie" released in 2023 and "Wonderful PreCure! Cure! The Movie! A Thrilling Adventure in the Game World!" released in 2024, this marks the third consecutive film to exceed 1 billion yen in box office revenue.
The announcement was made at a support screening with a staff talk held at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku, Tokyo) on October Getsuku. Screenwriter Hiroyuki Yoshino, chief animation director and character designer Nishiki Itaoka, producer Hidemitsu Minagawa of Toei Animation, and producer Main Nishimura of ABC Animation took to the stage.
The movie tells the story of Uta and her friends taking part in the Super Miracle Idol Festival held on the mysterious Ai Ai Island, but are transported back in time... PreCure characters from "Wonderful PreCure!" and "Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure" also appear.
The motif of "You and Idol Pretty Cure" is "idols," and the theme is "Because of you, we can shine and become stronger!".
