It has been announced that a collaboration will be made between the theatrical compilation of Toei Animation's original anime "Girls Band Cry," "Theatrical Compilation Girls Band Cry," and the theatrical version of the zombie x saga x idol x comedy-themed TV anime "Zombie Land Saga," "Zombie Land Saga Yumeginga Paradise." A collaboration visual featuring characters from both works has been released.
A collaboration video was also released on YouTube, featuring the first episode of both TV anime series, in which the voices of the main characters are swapped. Minamoto Sakura, who speaks the Karatsu dialect of Saga, performs the lines of Iseri Nina, who speaks the Kumamoto dialect, and Minamoto Sakura, who speaks the lines of Iseri Nina, performs the lines of Iseri Nina, and they engage in a dialogue.
There will also be a campaign where people who take a photo of the ticket stubs from "Girls Band Cry: The Movie Compilation" (Part 1 or Part 2) and the "Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise" movie and apply through a special application form will be entered to receive a special collaboration wallpaper as a bonus. Five people will be entered into a lottery to win a collaboration poster signed by the cast of both films.
"Girls Band Cry" follows the story of protagonist Isekiri Nina, who drops out of high school and moves to Tokyo. She forms the band "Togenashi Togeari" with Kawaraki Momoka, Yasuwa Subaru, Ebitsuka Satoshi, and Rupa, and grows through music. It's garnering attention as a new kind of girls' band anime, linking the in-game protagonists' band with a real-life band. The TV anime aired from April to June 2024. The Blu-ray and DVD volume 1 has sold over 23,000 copies, proving its popularity.
The theatrical compilation will reconstruct the TV anime and add new scenes. It will be divided into two parts, "Part 1: Youth Rhapsody" on October 3rd and "Part 2: Hey, Mirai" on November 14th. There is also talk of a "completely new movie" being produced.
"Zombie Land Saga" is an original anime set in Saga that depicts girls who have become zombies striving to become top idols. The first season aired from October to December 2018, and the second season aired from April to June 2021. The movie version will be released on October 24th.
