The second episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Akari Takaishi , was broadcast on September 30th, and the words "Age na Chijou" (Father) spoken by the heroine Toki Matsuno(Miharu Fukuchi) to her father Tsukasanosuke(Takashi Okabe) temporarily became a trending topic on X and became a hot topic among viewers.
In the second episode, even in the Meiji era, the Matsuno family is unable to give up their samurai pride and are unable to work. When asked about her dreams for the future at elementary school, Toki is influenced by the answer of her best friend Sawa Nozu (Koyama Aiju) and says she wants to become a teacher.
One day, Toki and her mother, Fumi ( Chizuru Ikewaki ), visit their relatives , the Ushimizu family, to receive training in tea ceremony and other subjects. Toki tells Tae that she wants to become an elementary school teacher in the future, and that today will be the last day of her training as a daughter of a samurai family. However, Tae replies that a samurai's daughter has no need for business.
Then Tae's husband, Den ( Shinichi Tsutsumi), appears with his hair chopped off, leaving Tae speechless. When Fumi asks why he cut off his topknot, Den says, "It's a cliché, but it's the times," explaining that the age of the samurai is long gone. He then reveals that he's thinking of starting a textile factory, and Tae looks shocked.
When Toki gets home, she says, "I wish I had a father like you, Uncle. He's so handsome, his chopped hair suited him, and he even gave me sweets." Fumi warns her, "Don't say that in front of my father," but Toki blurts out, "Of course. But you're so wonderful, that's why my father is like, how should I put it... give him some... give him some..."
Just then, Tsukasanosuke returned and said sarcastically, "Agena's father is back. Agena's father...he's back without even bringing any sweets. He's back."
Comments on social media included, "Takashi Okabe is the best at playing a bad father lol," "Even so, Father Agena never stops making people laugh and is loved," "It's like a comedy skit and it's funny," "What a fun family," "He's a really fun person except when he's not working," "Okabe is really the best lol," "I can't stop laughing at Okabe," and "Even though he's a samurai, he's playful and a complete failure, which is refreshing as a bad father."
