An advance screening of the TV anime "May I Make One Last Request?", based on the light novel by Nana Otori from Regina Books (Alphapolis), was held at United Cinema Toyosu (Koto Ward, Tokyo) on September 28th, with voice actors Asami Seto, Wataru Kato, and Miyu Tomita in attendance. Seto, who plays the protagonist, the "militant young lady" Scarlett, said of the work, "I was overwhelmed by the visual beauty of the characters and was excited to see it become an anime. There are some unexpectedly bloody and exhilarating parts, and it looks like it will be fun to swing your fists for justice. I thought to myself, I will enjoy the role to the fullest!"
Regarding the character of Scarlett, whom she plays, Seto commented, "She could have been a little too strong, so I was careful to retain the refinement and cuteness that only an aristocrat can have, and to make sure she was elegant and not too violent."
Kato, who plays Julius, the first prince of the Kingdom of Paristan, said, "Julius is of high social standing, and I was told to value his refined and refined manner of speech. He teases Scarlett, but I tried not to express it in a way that was too flirtatious."
Tomita, who plays the beastman boy Nanaka, said that this was his first time playing a boy, and added, "I was directed to have a cute side to it." He continued, "The voice he uses when he transforms into a dog was difficult. The script said 'Woof!' and I wondered if it would be better to make it more realistic, but I was directed to make it 'easy to understand.' Even his breathing is difficult. He revealed some behind-the-scenes details of the recording.
"May I Make One Last Request?" is a thrilling fantasy about Scarlett Elle Vandimion, a "militant young lady" who is suddenly and unreasonably told that her engagement is being broken off and is even accused of a crime she didn't commit. The total number of copies of the original series has exceeded 1.87 million. The anime will be directed by Sakamoto Kazuya and produced by Liden Films. It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels from late night on October 3rd.
