The NHK Asadora drama series "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM) starring Akari Takaishi will begin airing on September 29th. The story follows the heroine, who loves ghost stories, as she and her foreign husband go about their everyday lives. Here, we introduce Nishikiori Takeru, played by Sugita Rairin.
" Bakebake" is the 113th morning Asadora. The heroine, Toki Matsuno(played by Takaishi), and her husband, Lefkada Heaven (played by Tommy Bastow), are based on Setsu Koizumi, the daughter of a fallen samurai from Matsue, and Lafcadio Hearn(played by Yakumo Koizumi ). The drama boldly reconstructs the characters, changing some of the names of characters and organizations to create a fictional portrayal.
The story is not based on an original novel, but is an original work by screenwriter Fujiki Mitsuhiko, who has worked on NHK's drama "Asagaya Sisters' Relaxed Life" and WOWOW's "Shooting Break Series." The music will be provided by Kensuke Ushio, who has also worked on TV anime " Dandadan" and "Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (Chi: Chikyu no Undo ni Tsuite). " The theme song has been decided to be "Waratta Korondari" (Laughing and Falling) by the male-female duo Humbert Humbert.
Nishikori Takeru is a student of Heaven. He is the younger brother of English teacher Nishikori Yuichi ( Ryo Yoshizawa). He respects his older brother, who is said to be the most brilliant student in Matsue, and follows in his footsteps.
Sugita, who plays the role of Joe, was selected from an audition in which 287 people participated. This will be his first appearance in a Asadora in five years, since "Yell" (first half of 2020).
