"EVANGELION: 30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION (Eva Fest)," an event celebrating the 30th anniversary of the popular anime series "Evangelion," will be held at Yokohama Arena (Kohoku Ward, Yokohama) from February 21st to 23rd, 2026. This will be the first major three-day festival in the series, and creators from Studio Khara will be in charge of overall direction. Details have been announced, including an opening event featuring a star-studded cast of voice actors, as well as the unveiling of "Eva Kabuki (tentative title)," which has been jointly planned and produced with Shochiku. A world premiere of "Special Video (tentative title)" will be screened in the stage area each day. It has also been announced that ticket sales and advance lottery applications will begin on October 4th.
The Eva Fest venue will be divided into an exhibition area called "EVA EXTRA 30" and a "STAGE AREA" where stage events will be held, and will feature projects that express the "past" and "future" of "Eva."
The exhibition area "EVA EXTRA 30" will feature "Virtual Camera Studio," a reconstructed content that allows visitors to actually touch and experience the virtual camera system used to create the battle scene between Unit 01 and Unit 03 in "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," "Anniversary Park," which will screen "Neon Genesis Evangelion," which began airing in 1995, on CRT televisions that appeared in the same generation, and "MATERIAL of EVA," which will exhibit valuable production materials such as original drawings from the "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time" series and cels from "Neon Genesis Evangelion."
The "STAGE AREA" will feature an opening event with voice actors, "Eva Kabuki (tentative title)," a concert that can be enjoyed alongside anime footage, "BACK TO NEON GENESIS Pre-ver. (tentative title)," and a special live performance by Yoko Takahashi, "EVANGELION FLASHBACK (tentative title)."
The "Evangelion" series began airing on October 4, 1995 with the TV anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion," and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2025.
