TV anime "Re:Monster" second season to be produced

It has been announced that a second season of the TV anime "Re:Monster," based on the light novel by Kinzan Jiko, will be produced. A teaser visual has been released, depicting the protagonist Aporou, who has repeatedly evolved and exudes a regal air, and Princess Rubilia, who was a key character in the first season. The visual gives the impression that a turbulent beginning is about to begin, as the two characters gaze upon it.

The story is a "monster reincarnation fantasy" about Goburou, who is suddenly stabbed by a stalker and wakes up to find himself reincarnated as the weakest goblin in another world. The more he eats, the stronger he becomes, thanks to his "devouring ability," and he undergoes an extraordinary evolution as he tries to survive in a world where the strong prey on the weak. The book is published by Alphapolis. The comic adaptation has also gained popularity, with the total number of copies of the series in circulation exceeding 2.1 million.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2024.
