It has been revealed that Season 3 of the TV anime "Grand Blue Dreaming," based on the manga currently being serialized in "good! Afternoon" (Kodansha), will be produced. The 12th and final episode of Season 2, "That's All Right," was broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels late at night on September 22nd, and the production of Season 3 was announced. Season 3 will be set in Palau, the first overseas location, and a visual announcing the production of Season 3 was released, featuring a back shot of a character in a swimsuit.
"Grand Blue Dreaming" is based on a manga written by Kenji Inoue, known for "Baka and Test," and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka. The story follows the protagonist, Iori Kitahara, who moves in with his uncle by the sea when he goes to university, where he meets passionate men who devote their youth to scuba diving and his beautiful, growing cousin.
Season 1 of the TV anime aired from July to September 2018. A live-action film starring actors Ryo Ryusei and Atsuhiro Inukai was released in August 2020, which also attracted a lot of attention. Season 2 of the TV anime began airing in July and aired its final episode on September 22nd.
