The final episode of the drama series " School of love. " (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring actress Fumino Kimura , aired on September 18th. The scene in which Manami's (Kimura) mother, Sanae (Tsutsui Mariko), brings up the topic of divorce became a hot topic among viewers.

Sanae is concerned about Kaworu (Raul) as he takes the entrance exam for a vocational school. On the day the results are announced, she calls Manami to confirm, but it appears that he has failed.
When Sanae reports that she "looked like she failed the exam," Seiji ( Yoshi Sakou) responds, "The pass rate should be over 85%." She tries to comfort him by saying, "He was trying his best to show his sincerity," but Seiji sneers, "To have even you on his side, you're a real host." Even when Sanae pleads with him, saying, "He's someone Manami cares about," Seiji dismisses her, saying, "Your hopes are pretty low."
Finally, Sanae calmly told him, "I can't be with someone who can't support my daughter any longer." "Huh, what are you talking about? You know very well how hard I've tried for Aimi," Seiji replied overconfidently, to which Sanae raised her voice and said, "You! You were just relying on Aimi."
Sanae then brought up the idea of divorce, saying, "I know I did my share of mistakes, but I've done enough. Let's break up." Enraged by Seiji's question, "Do you really think you can make it work if we break up?", Sanae took off her apron and threw it at him. She was then shown uprooting a plant she had been growing in the kitchen from its pot and throwing it away with all her might, saying, "Ugh, come on!"
Social media was buzzing with comments such as, "Aimi's mom is the best!", "Aimi's mom's anger was great!", "It was so refreshing to see Aimi's mom vent her feelings to her dad," "It's so cool that she asked for a break up at this point," "Isn't it 20 years too late for Aimi's mom to bring up the topic of divorce?" and "I liked Chihuahua Sensei's mom the best because she somehow reformed her dad and even trained him to do housework."
