It has been announced that the large-scale collaborative campaign between Yokohama City and the anime "SPY×FAMILY," based on the manga by Tatsuya Endo currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," and Yokohama City, "SPY×FAMILY 'Odekeke' Mission in Yokohama Minato Mirai," will expand its event area to cover the entire waterfront area of central Yokohama from September 27th, with 12 new initiatives being rolled out. In response to the area expansion, the second key visual for the campaign, featuring the Forger family, has been released. The collaborative campaign will begin on August 23rd.
Among the 12 new initiatives, an advance screening of the first and second episodes of season 3 of the TV anime, which begins airing on October 4th, will be held at Lawson United Cinema STYLE-S Minato Mirai (Nishi-ku, Yokohama) on September 28th, and a special Anya-themed performance and lighting ceremony will be held at Yokohama Cosmo World's Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel. Customers who order designated menu items or use services at participating stores will receive a campaign-exclusive original sticker (6 types in total). Stamp rallies and other events will also be held.
"SPY×FAMILY" began serialization in "Shonen Jump+" in March 2019. The story follows a skilled spy who starts a new life with a temporary family for his mission. The father is a spy, the daughter has psychic powers, and the mother is an assassin, all living together while hiding their true identities. The first season of the anime aired from April to June 2022, the second season from October to December 2022, and season 2 from October to December 2023.
The animated film "Spy × Family Code: White" was released in December 2023 and became a huge hit, grossing over 6.32 billion yen. The comic series has sold over 38 million copies. Season 3 will begin airing on TV Tokyo on October 4th at 11:00 PM.
