A stage greeting to celebrate the release of the movie version of the 22nd installment of the popular anime "PreCure" series, "You and Idol Pretty Cure", "The You and Idol Pretty Cure We've Keep You Waiting! A Sparkling Live That We'll Deliver to You!", was held at United Cinema Toyosu (Koto Ward, Tokyo) on September 13th, and Ayane Sakura, who plays Amasu, appeared. This is Sakura's first time appearing in the "PreCure" series. Sakura, who plays the legendary goddess Amasu, an original character and key person in the movie, spoke about the role and her "oshi".
The motif of "You and Idol Pretty Cure" is "idols," and the word "oshi" (favorite) appears frequently throughout the play. Sakura said, "This is a story that will be painful to hear for anyone who has ever supported someone. I've had a favorite idol group for about 15 years, so I can understand the feelings of the idols, and I thought about how vividly I could portray them. I was worried about scaring children, but it's not a bad thing at all, so I played the role without holding back."
Misato Matsuoka, who plays Cure Idol Sakura Uta, said about working with Sakura, "The scene where Amasu was crying really touched my heart. I felt sad, grief, and helpless, but she really pulled me along and helped me make the movie."
Also appearing on stage to greet the audience were Takahashi Minami, who plays Cure Ink/Aokaze Nana, Natsumi Takamori, who plays Cure Kyun Kyun/ Cure Zukyoon Yoshino Nanjo Yoshino, who plays Cure Kyun/Purirun, Miharu Hanai, who plays Cure Kiss/Meloron, Uchida Maaya, who plays Terra, and Tsuda Atsuhisa, who plays Totto from "Diane."
The movie tells the story of Uta and her friends taking part in the Super Miracle Idol Festival held on the mysterious Aiai Island, only to be transported back in time... PreCure characters from "Wonderful PreCure!(Wanpuri)" and "Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure(Hiropuri)" also appear.
The motif of "You and Idol Pretty Cure" is "idols," and the theme is "Because of you, we can shine and become stronger!". The legendary saviors, Idol Precure, sing, dance, and give "fan service" for "you," whether it's the people they love, the people they care about, the people who support them, the people next to them, or the people in front of them, and your presence makes Idol Precure shine brighter and stronger.
