The second official trailer for the sixth season of the TV anime "Kingdom," based on the popular manga by Yasuhisa Hara, has been released on YouTube. The sixth season depicts an all-out war between the Qin and Zhao states, and the trailer features Shin, Meng Tian, and Wang Ben, who hold the key to the battle. The ending theme, "Roar," by singer-songwriter Sora Tomonari, can also be heard.
The cast for new characters appearing in the sixth series has also been announced, with Taito Ban as Shunsui Itsuki, Tochi Hiroki as Zhao Ga Long, Tezuka Hideaki as Ma Nanji, Mano Kyosuke as Kyoun, and Fujinuma Taketo as Danto. Shunsui Itsuki, Zhao Ga Long, Ma Nanji, and Kyoun are generals of the Zhao state, while Danto is King Figo, the leader of the Figo tribe, which belongs to the mountain militia led by Yang Duanhe.
"Kingdom" is a popular manga that has been serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) since 2006. Set in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period of China, it depicts the exploits of Shin, who aims to become the greatest general in the world, as well as the drama of heroes such as King Ei Sei of Qin, who later becomes known as the First Emperor. The total number of copies of the comics published has exceeded 110 million.
The first series of the TV anime aired from June 2012 to February 2013, the second series from June 2013 to March 2014, the third series from April to October 2021, the fourth series from April to October 2022, and the fifth series from January to March 2024.
In the sixth series, Shin, who has grown as a warrior, decides to take up the spear entrusted to him by Ouki and enter into an all-out war with Zhao. The series will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 12:10 a.m. on October 4th.
