It has been announced that season 2 of the TV anime "Wisteria of the Staff and Sword," based on the manga by Fujino Omori, known for the popular light novel "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon (DanMachi)," will begin airing in April 2026. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who directed season 1 and is also known for the popular "Chainsaw Man Reze Arc," will serve as general director, and Hideaki Nakano, who served as assistant director for "Hero Classroom," will take on the new role of director. Following season 1, the series will be produced by BN Pictures and Actus.

A Teaser trailer for Season 2 has also been released on YouTube, looking back on Season 1 with a focus on action scenes.
"Wistria of the Wand and Sword" is written by Omori and illustrated by Aoi Sei, and has been serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since December 2020. Set in a world where magic is supreme, the story follows Will, a boy who cannot use magic at all, as he enrolls in a magic academy and fights through it despite being discouraged by the cold stares of those around him.
